Tic Tac, Anyone?

How about a Tic Tac or two?  This is my last treat holder to share with you ... I think ... at least, for this year:)  I made quite a few of these because the little penguin is just so, so cute!
I made a card, too, inspired by my treat holders.
After all the many, many treats I've shared this year, these are the only ones of which I still have a few left.  I thought they'd make good January treats, too.

Petite Cafe Treat Bags

I keep mentioning that I've been trying to use up my 'stash' of various items, instead of hoarding them.  Today's treat bag is actually one that I keep using up and ordering more.  It's the Petite Cafe Treat Bag and it's good for lots and lots of projects.  I really like using it with fun tags and some sort of clip at the top.  The clips are purely decorative, as the bag rolls down and closes on it's own.

Reindeer Treat Boxes

How about an idea for when you need a treat to give ... really fast?  I've been really working at using up my 'stash' of retired goodies instead of hoarding it.  I love these boxes and thought they'd be cute with chocolate showing through the window.  I dressed them up for Christmas with a cute little reindeer.  It's cute.  It's quick.  It's fun to share!

Matchbook Snowman Treats

As with my previous post, I made lots of these treats to share, too.  They turned out pretty cute, using our little snowman.  Are you rested up from Christmas?  I'm fighting a nasty cold, resting, and doing a bit of stamping.  I just can't let my stamps get dusty:)

Bunches of Box Card Treats

Happy Boxing Day!  I thought this would be a good day to share my 'box cards' with you.  I thank Julie Davison for this idea.  As you can see, I made a bunch of these and have enjoyed sharing them throughout the holiday season.  I gave them to my Christmas Retreat participants and to lots of friends and special recipients.  It is so much fun to spread the joy.  During this week, I'll be sharing several other fun treat ideas with you that I created to share during the holiday season.  Enjoy!

The drawer holds some fun treats!
So... it's a box! ... it's a card! ... all in one!  It's a box card:)

Vintage Santa Card

I think this is the perfect card for Christmas Eve.  I love all things Vintage, when it comes to stamping and in finding 'treasures' while antiquing or visiting unique thrift stores.  I love taking something a bit old and grungy and making it into something new and fun.  I've been enjoying a lot of this type of project lately, as well as actually using up bunches of various stashed items in my storage room ... stored under the "I'll make something with this someday" category.
Yay!  I actually have some empty spaces now and plan to keep it that way.  I don't know why I get on these major organizing binges, but I do and it feels so good to see and enjoy the results.  It also jump starts my creativity, as I enjoy more space to work and all.
My new Stitched Shapes oval and scallop from my Layering Ovals Framelits work perfectly for this card.  I added a little coloring after embossing with Gold EP.  Love, love, love it!
This year, I also enjoyed actually making handmade gifts for various loved ones.  I made a fun calendar for my husband.  Today is his birthday.  He gets to celebrate by having the entire church choir sing Happy Birthday to him each year, before our Christmas Eve service:)

I also made handmade gifts for each of my 3 oldest grandchildren.  It's so much fun to create something that is just for them and personalized to their needs and tastes.  I'm not sure, with babysitting full time, how I had time to do all that this year, but I will chock it up to caring for the world's most perfect baby, along with feeling better than I have for quite a while.  I hope this continues.  I realize now, after wrapping up all the gifts, that I didn't get a photo of any of them, so I could share with you.  I'll try to get some shots when they open their gifts.
Christmas Eve blessings to you and yours.  It's a beautiful time of the year.

Soft Sky Star of Light

This is a version of the card I sent out this year for Christmas.  I should have sent out the same version, as it was a lot less complicated.  This card is actually pretty easy to create, if you like to make the watercolor backgrounds.  After letting the watercolor background dry completely, I stamped and embossed the star images (Isn't the large one just gorgeous?!)  After the embossed images cooled, I spritzed the entire front of the watercolor layer with some of my shimmer mist.  After that, it was just a matter of assembling all the pieces.  This is a good one to mail, as there are no embellishments sticking up to interfere with the mailing process.
The card I sent, had the same images on the front, but I mixed the reinker for the watercoloring with Frost White Shimmer Paint and then created the watercolor background.  I still spritzed it all with shimmer mist before assembling.
I love the images and the text on the inside of the card.  This is just a perfect stamp set!
Ok, so this is another favorite of the year.

Blue and Silver for Christmas

Today's card is just plain pretty, with it's soft, warm colors.  What can I say?  I love it.
The boys are off school now, so we're working on projects ... a bit of a challenge, with a 14 month old baby with us, as well, but we're doing it and making some pretty cute creations.  We called their great-grandmother (my MIL) yesterday and sang a Christmas song to her.  She was tickled.  The baby is learning to say:  "Ho, Ho, Ho" now ... super cute!  He loves looking at all the decorations for Christmas and mostly is able to gently touch them.  His true love, though, is Toby Joe.  He likes the puppies and they love him, but he adores Toby Joe.  Toby is excellent with him.  Joey crawls over to him, turns his back to him, and scoots up against him and they cuddle ... briefly ... until Toby decides to go rest somewhere else.  It's a wonderful time of the year.
So... back to my card ... I just love this one.  I have enough cards and projects to share with you to last the rest of the year.  I'll share some of the projects the boys worked on with me, but not until after Christmas.  We can't spoil any surprises:)
